Furnace Maintenance

Furnace maintenance is a preventive heating service that involves a thorough inspection and tune-up of your system. This involves checking all of the system’s essential components and adjusting, cleaning, testing, and/or lubricating them, as needed. Some of the specific tasks involved in our furnace maintenance checklist include:

  • Clean the blower
  • Clean blower motor
  • Adjust belts (if applicable)
  • Clean inside of furnace cabinet
  • Clean pilot assembly (if applicable)
  • Tighten all wiring and connections
  • 21 point inspection
  • Visually inspect and test the heat exchanger
  • Ensure operation levels meet manufacturers specifications
  • Complete gas leak check and carbon monoxide safety inspection
  • Check filter (extra charge if filter needs to be replaced)
  • Flame rod cleaning

Furnace Service Calls/Repairs

The most common furnace problems we come across are:

  • Dirty filters
  • Pilot light problems
  • Blower continuously running
  • Malfunctioning thermostat
  • Cycling between on and off
  • Gas feed/valve issues

While some of these problems can be easily fixed—all you may need to do is replace a filter—some of the repairs are relatively extensive and definitely need the hand of a professional. No matter what’s wrong with your furnace, we’ll be able to find the problem and solve it for you.
